Jean Wong

Jean Wong is a researcher who writes about modern and contemporary art and architecture in Southeast Asia and East Asia. She is currently researching video and performance art in postwar Singapore, with an interest in architecture and media infrastructures as systems of control and discipline. She has written about contemporary art for various publications including ArtAsiaPacific and Vulture Magazine (Singapore). Apart from writing, Jean has also worked as a teaching artist for museums and schools in Singapore. She is currently based in New York, where she is pursuing her master’s degree in Modern and Contemporary Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies at Columbia University.
