Elkin Rubiano, Bogotá (1974), received his Ph.D. in Art History from the National University of Colombia, Bogotá headquarters. He holds a M.A. in Communication from the Javeriana University (Bogotá, Colombia) and he earned his B.A. in Sociology from the National University of Colombia in the same city. He is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. His working areas are focused on aesthetic theory, cultural criticism, sociology of art and urban sociology.
