Catalina Acosta-Carrizosa

Curator

Catalina Acosta-Carrizosa is the Special Projects Manager at sokoloff + associates llc, where she focuses on developing Legacy Projects, coordinating artist publications, organizing curated travels and special events, and conducting art historical research for various private collections. Before joining S+A, Ms. Acosta served as a Research Assistant at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as a curatorial assistant at Sullivan Galleries at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and interned at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, among others. Ms. Acosta is a founding member of the curatorial collective De Cabeza Curaduría and focuses on organizing exhibitions that promote emerging contemporary talents while engaging with ongoing academic discourses. Most recently, she curated exhibitions for the Colombian Ministry of Culture and Harvard University. Ms. Acosta holds a Masters in Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism and a Masters in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
