Sule Ameh James obtained a PhD in Visual Studies from the University of Pretoria. He is a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow of African Art at Wake Forest University. His interest is in Global African art history and visual culture. He has published in African Arts, Art Is On, World Art, Critical Interventions, Visual Studies, and African Identities, among other journals. He also has presented at various international conferences in universities in Africa as well as at Oxford University, Ecole du Louvre, and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
