Sameep Padora

Sameep Padora is the principal architect at and founder of Sameep Padora & Associates (sP+a), a Mumbai based architecture studio, and founder of sPare, a research arm of the studio. sPare’s maiden project documented and analyzed historic housing types within the city of Mumbai. Sameep completed his undergraduate education in Mumbai followed by a Master’s Degree from GSD, Harvard University in 2005. He is a member of the Academic Councils of a number of schools and of the National Technical Committee of Habitat for Humanity, India. His practice was conferred Wallpaper Magazine’s award for single-family house of the year and HUDCO’s National Award for Affordable Urban Housing in 2018. He has received the World Architecture News Award for 21 Emerging International Practices for the 21st century (WAN 21 for 21) and was previously nominated for the BSI Swiss Architecture Award.
