S. Yi Yao Chao is a restful maker and a zine librarian at Asia Art Archive (Hong Kong). They craft gifts and zines. They are learning ceramics and being attentive to plants with muddy companions. Their recent pieces include Indecisive Intuition, a visual essay-shuffle made in response to the Lee Wen Archive of AAA Collections on IDEAS Journal in 2021.
The first of its kind on post, this interactive commission sees artists S. Yi Yao Chao and Poklong Anading and curator Chương-Đài Võ responding to three archival collections at Asia Art Archive and, more broadly, approaches to artmaking in Southeast Asia.
