Maureen Murphy

Maureen Murphy is an art historian, Professor of global art history and African art at Paris 10 University and member of the Institut Universitaire de France. Her research focuses on global modernisms, colonial and postcolonial history, as well as on the history of exhibitions and biennials. She is the author of several books, including L’art de la décolonisation. Paris-Dakar 1950-1970, Dijon, Les Presses du reel, 2023 (forthcoming from Manchester University Press) and with Mamadou Diouf (ed.), Déborder la négritude.
