Jumana Manna is a visual artist who was raised in Jerusalem and lives in Berlin. She works primarily with film and sculpture to address relationships of power between states and individuals and contested narratives of modernity and materiality of place. Solo exhibitions include the Henie Onstad Museum, Norway; Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin; Chisenhale Gallery, London; SculptureCenter, New York; and in group exhibitions at the Taipei Biennale; Hamburger Bahnhof; Liverpool Biennial; Sydney Biennale; Marrakech Biennale; Beirut Art Center; and SALT Istanbul. Among other venues, her films have screened at Tate Modern, CPH:DOX, Copenhagen, the Berlinale Forum, and the ICA in London.
