Farkas Molnár’s Vision of the City of the Future

Eva Forgacs has been teaching Art History at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena since 1994. In 1998, with Nancy Perloff at the Getty Research Institute, she curated Monuments of the Future: Designs by El Lissitzky. Forgacs was President of SHERA (The Society of Historians of Russian and East European Art and Architecture), a member of the International Academic Committee at the Bauhaus Institute of the China Academy of Art where she leads its Research project, and is an Advisory Board Member of the EAM (European Avant-Garde and Modernism Network). She is the author of The Bauhaus Idea and Bauhaus Politics, published in English in 1995 by Central European University Press, and most recently, Hungarian Art: Confrontation and Revival in the Modern Movement, in 2017. She also co-edited, with Timothy Benson, Between Worlds: A Sourcebook of Central European Avant-gardes 1910–1930 (MIT Press and LACMA, 2002).
