Eda Tuulberg (b. 1986) is an art historian based in Tallinn, Estonia. She is a curator at the Kumu Art Museum and doctoral student at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her field of research is Soviet and contemporary art, with a focus on the work of women artists and the problematics of gender issues. She is currently working on a curatorial project exploring the legacy of the late Soviet Estonian women graphic artists. She is co-curator (with Karin Vicente) of Art Is Design Is Art, which opens at Kumu in May 2021. This exhibition highlights the points of contact between art and design in the late Soviet Estonia.
Estonian artist Sirje Runge’s (born 1950) visionary 1975 thesis project conceptualizes the dynamics between the needs of the individual and the overall logic and construction of the city space in late Soviet Estonia.
