On Forms of Political Organizing Illuminating the Future
In this interview, Belarusian curators Aleksei Borisionok and Anna Chistoserdova discuss the recent political upheavals in Belarus and their impact on the local art scene.
Anna Chistoserdova is a cultural manager, curator, and educator based in Minsk. From 2004 to 2009, she served as co-founder of Podzemka gallery, and from 2009 to 2020, co-founder and artistic director of Ў Gallery of Contemporary Art. In 2014, she was awarded a European Diploma of Cultural Project Management and Cultural Policy from the Marcel Hicter Association in Brussels. She is a member of the advisory committees of Nataša—Eastern Partnership Civil Society Platform for Culture, Oracle Cultural Network, and other organizations devoted to cultural development. Her areas of interest combine contemporary socially oriented art, international collaboration, cultural policy, cultural management, and nonacademic education.
