Amandine Piel is an art historian with degrees from the Sorbonne and the École Normale Supérieure. Specializing in the painter Jean-Michel Atlan, she has devoted her recent research to studying his links with the artists of the Signe in the Maghreb. She is notably the author of an exhibition and catalog devoted to the artist in 2019 for the Setareh Gallery in Düsseldorf.
She is the collection manager at the Fonds d’Art Contemporain de la Ville de Paris and also teaches contemporary art history at the Institut Catholique de Paris.
Historienne de l’art diplômée de la Sorbonne et de l’École Normale Supérieure, spécialiste du peintre Jean-Michel Atlan, elle a consacré ses recherches récentes à étudier ses liens avec les artistes du Signe au Maghreb.
