Nene Aïssatou coordinates the Contemporary and Modern Art Perspectives (C-MAP) Program, MoMA’s global research initiative intended to broaden its presentation of art from historically underrepresented areas of the world. She is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work is centered around photography, video, textiles, and collage and is a co-director of LAND Collective, a community of Newark-based and affiliated artists. Their initial collective publication has been included in the Permanent Book collections of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture (New York), Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), and the library at The Bronx Museum (New York). Diallo holds a B.A. in Visual Media and Arts Practices, as well as Women, Gender, and Sexualities Studies from the University of Richmond.
